Job Description

About the role As a Driver Trainer with a CE license, you'll have the important job of ensuring all our drivers are of the highest standard and that they represent the John Lewis Partnership brand professionally while out on-the-road in our articulated lorries. It's a hugely rewarding role as you train, assess and test Partners (including apprentices) and agency drivers to pass our HGV programme, helping them to obtain their own license. Key Responsibilities

• ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
• ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
• ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
• ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
• ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
