Job Description
HGV Class 1 Driver Kemsley Paper Mill, Sittingbourne, ME10 2TD Salary range : Day driver (5 days a week) £39,898.16 Working hours: 12 hours days, starting between 04:00am and 07:00am. 48 hour per week. Monday - Friday DS Smith Logistics operate a large fleet of HGV Class 1 vehicles, with curtain-sider trailers, delivering and collecting DS Smith products from within the UK from our 4 depots based in Avonmouth, Launceston, Tuxford and Sittingbourne. Key Responsibilities
- ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
- ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
- ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
- ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
- ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
