Job Description
Staffline is recruiting for a HGV Class 1 night drivers with immediate starts for our client based in Birmingham (Archers). PAYE rates paid per hour for the role of HGV 1 driver are as follow: - £17.44 NIGHTS - £26.15 NIGHTS OVERTIME (applies after 9.6 hours worked) - SATURDAY £24.34 - SUNDAY £32.44 - Paid Breaks - Night drivers guaranteed a minimum 10.5 hours daily Monday to Thursday. - Fridays will be guaranteed 9.6 hours. - Overtime will apply on a Friday for the whole shift for any night dr…
Key Responsibilities
- ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
- ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
- ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
- ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
- ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
