Job Description

In this role, you will be required to ensure the collection of household waste and recycling using wheeled bins, sacks or other collection systems. To be responsible for the allocated vehicle (undertaking daily checks, applying defect reporting procedures, cleaning, fuelling etc); contribution to the completion of the service's allocated work (including rectifying missed collections and completing assisted collections), motivating and organising the collection crew; completion of required paper…

Key Responsibilities

• ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
• ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
• ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
• ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
• ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
