About This Role
MKD Recruit is currently looking for a HGV II Driver to join their team in Witchford, Ely. This is a Contract position offering £36k - £44k, ideal for professional drivers who take pride in their work and want to be part of a well-established operation.

Job Description
Class 2 / C / HGV II drivers, working for a rapidly growing Distribution company based on the outskirts of Ely, Cambridgeshire. Immediate starts available, 0730 start times, Monday to Friday with optional occaisional Saturdays. Typcial working week is 50-55 hours, delivering pallets of goods across the CB postcode areas. Collections later in the day, to bring back to base. This is an on-going and regular driving role, there is a great opportunity for you to go permanent for those that desire it…
Key Responsibilities
- ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
- ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
- ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
- ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
- ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
