Job Description
Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a HGV Driver for our client a government organisation in Bedford. The successful post holder will drive both LGV and non LGV vehicles collecting and delivering waste and recycling containers from domestic and trade properties. Including collecting and delivering of domestic and trade waste including bulky household waste and equipment containing CFC’s and loading them into suitable vehicles. Key Responsibilities
- ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
- ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
- ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
- ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
- ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
