Job Description
This is not just a driving job - it's about loading and unloading deliveries effectively, too. Unusually, your time is split between two key areas professional driving together with loading and unloading deliveries. So its a lot more physical than typical Driver roles as only 40% of the time is actually spent driving. Key Responsibilities
- ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
- ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
- ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
- ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
- ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
