Job Description
We require an HGV driver with experience of a range of vehicles and operations including occasional short cross channel deliveries. Typical work would include driving rigid and articulated vehicles some with Hiab cranes collecting and delivering customers goods. Working on site with our tree work teams loading logs. Occasional short trips to GB delivering equipment to our dealers. Who we are looking for Experience with HIAB type cranes or other heavy plant will attract increased payrate. Pay £1…
Key Responsibilities
- ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
- ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
- ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
- ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
- ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
