Job Description

Due to an increase in workload, our Dunstable branch is seeking HGV Delivery Drivers (known internally as Driver Guards). Pay: £14.06 per hour, rising to £15.06 per hour post-probation, plus £1725 per annum London allowance and varying shift pay. When working on HGV routes, drivers are paid at an enhanced rate (£16.09 per hour post-probation) and receive a supplement. Key Responsibilities

• ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
• ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
• ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
• ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
• ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
