Job Description
We are recruiting for HGV drivers to work for the local council in Rochdale, immediate starts available. You will be joining the waste team on site driving the bin wagons, working daily with 2 bin loaders, driving or loading the vehicle collecting public waste, on the odd occasion you may be required to work as a loader however you will always be paid the drivers rate. Key Responsibilities
- ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
- ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
- ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
- ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
- ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
