Staff Power Group Limited is currently looking for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join their team in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear. This is a Contract position offering £31k - £52k, ideal for professional drivers who take pride in their work and want to be part of a well-established operation.
As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring safe and efficient driving duties are carried out to the highest standards. The right candidate will be punctual, professional, and experienced in the relevant vehicle type or driving category.

Job Description
Currently seeking HGV 1 drivers, various shift patterns, local work. A full UK Driving Licence with CE entitlement Previous HGV Class 1 experience in the UK Maximum of 6 Points on the licence No DD, DR OR INS on the Licence Digi card and DCPC
Key Responsibilities
- ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
- ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
- ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
- ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
- ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
