First Choice Staff is currently looking for a HGV Class 1 Day Driver to join their team in Birmingham, West Midlands. This is a Contract position offering Up to £35k, ideal for professional drivers who take pride in their work and want to be part of a well-established operation.

Job Description

We are looking for a CLASS 1 DAY driver to work from a large logistics company who's depot is based in b37 (by Elmdom) Will be doing various runs which will involve collections and deliveries at various sites around the midlands and surrounding areas. Must be reliable and happy to do around 8-12 drops, will need to have ADR Licence and we will need to obtain a 5 year reference check, you will then while working, have training towards a CO (cargo Operative) secure freight. Key Responsibilities

• ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
• ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
• ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
• ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
• ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
