Job Description
Class 1 Driver (CE) – Temporary to Ongoing Location: Wirksworth, Matlock (DE4 4AA) We are looking for a reliable Class 1 Driver to join a busy distribution operation based in Wirksworth. This role involves straightforward trunking work, primarily transporting foam insulation materials for the furniture industry. Key Responsibilities
- ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
- ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
- ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
- ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
- ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
