Job Description
Class 1 Driver Location : Queenslie Shift : Monday to Friday, Nights Do you have a UK Class 1 CE Licence? If "YES," we want to hear from you! About the Role As a Class 1 Driver, you will: Double up with another driver due to the long distance nature of the route. Use a double decker trailer to trunk from Queenslie to the Central Hub in Birmingham and then return to Queenslie depot. Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Key Responsibilities
- ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
- ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
- ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
- ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
- ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
