Job Description
Class 1 Casual Driver Location : Hemel Hempstead Shift : Zero hour contract, casual Do you have a UK Class 1 CE Licence? If "YES," we want to hear from you! Duties include: Trunking deliveries from Hemel to customer locations (e.g. Oxford, Southampton, Milton Keynes, etc.) Safe and compliant operation of HGV vehicles in line with DVSA and company standards Completion of daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and defect reporting Correct coupling/uncoupling procedures Adherence to driver ho…
Key Responsibilities
- ✓Drive HGV/LGV vehicles over planned routes, delivering goods safely and on time
- ✓Complete tachograph records accurately and adhere to drivers' hours regulations
- ✓Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections (walkaround checks)
- ✓Ensure loads are secured correctly and within legal weight limits
- ✓Liaise with depot teams and customers regarding deliveries
